Pitti Palace
Pitti Palace
Designed by Brunelleschi during the middle of the 15th century. It was built with the aim of being the most imposing house in the city. It served as a residence for numerous Italian aristocratic family members until it eventually became another of the most important museums of the city.
Behind this palace we can find the Garden of Boboli, the most famous park in Florence. It is worth stopping to visit it, as it served as a residence for the family of Medici, the grand dukes of Tuscany and even the kings of Italy. The highlights in this palace include the nymphaeum, the fountain of Neptune, the theatre and the statue of the goddess Fortuna.
